We are not taking bookings by email, phone or online at present. Boats are available on a "first come first served basis" on the day of hire. You can reserve a boat in person on the day for the next available time slot. The first hire slot of the following day can also be reserved in person, but will only be held until opening time of that day. The restrictions on booking in advance have had to be put in place due to the large number of people not turning up for their bookings.

Pooley Bridge can be reached from the M6 by exiting at junction 40 Penrith. Follow the sign's for Ullswater A66 westbound. At the Rheged roundabout, follow the A592 for Ullswater for approximately four miles. At the T junction, facing the lake, turn left and head into Pooley Bridge. There is free street parking in the village, with time limit. Pay and display car parks on both sides of the bridge, and a very reasonable all day pay parking area opposite "The Barn". Follow the signs on the village side of the bridge directing you to Lakeland Boat Hire via the public footpath through the Stone Pillars of Eusemere Lodge's driveway (No vehicle access along this path) to the lake. We are only a two minute walk from Pooley Bridge.
